At our Wuxi site, we are currently looking for a Business Development Engineer to join our team
The Business Development Engineer will safely perform internal and external customers’ product development and/or technical projects via general lab work including specification, preparation and testing of materials/samples and write, report, document results obtained. The Business Development Engineer will also directly interact with Chemence sales/marketing teams, customers, vendors and external trade associations as necessary to defend share and increase sales.
Your Tasks:
· Design and develop technical solutions with existing and new customers in multiple high-tech industries in partnership with customers and internal technical team
· Provide start-up project development and on-going customer support
· Internal and external project management and control
· Develop and submit verbal and written reports detailing new opportunities, sales calls, competitor activity, potential customers, and customer needs
· Successfully complete new projects with existing customers and close new business with new customers
· Perform analytical and mechanical properties testing of Chemence adhesives and sealants and report detailed results
· Directly collaborate with Chemence sales/marketing teams, external customers, distributors, technical committees and trade associations as necessary to defend share and increase sales
Your Profile:
· Degree in Chemistry or Engineering, i.e. Mechanical Engineering, Process Engineering, Material Science, Physical Engineering, or similar technical areas (Bachelor’s required, Master a plus)
· Minimum 3 years’ experience in a technical corporate environment and sales experience
· Minimum 3 years’ experience with of adhesives products.
· Minimum 3 years’ experience in consumer electronics industry with customer interaction
· Knowledge of adhesive laboratory testing standards (ASTM,ISO, etc.)
· Experience in dispensing and curing equipment for adhesives and sealants
· Knowledge in adhesive research pertaining to assembly for the consumer electronics industry.
· Demonstrated ability to solve complex technical problems with accounts in complex technical environments. Performing tasks related to adhesive research by running experiments, analyzing experimental data, writing reports and finding correlations between real world testing and accelerated testing of adhesives and sealants.
· Time management, project management, and excellent communication skills
